Ads In Gmail?!?

photoGoogle released a new ad type that gives you the ability to target Gmail users.

Now you can have your ad show when a user opens your competitor’s email…

Or if the email is about a certain subject.

We have been experimenting with these and are finding some really cheap conversions…

Especially when it comes to list building.

Remember, this is like “interruption marketing”…

So really pay attention to your headline and ad text.

Dirt Cheap Targeted Traffic

Using Gmail ads is a simple way you can start bringing in dirt cheap targeted traffic…

Since it ties in with the Google Display (or Content) network.

By dirt cheap, what do we mean?

Like 2 or 3 cent clicks.

Depending on your niche (think targeting medium to long tail keywords here).

However…

Getting started with Gmail ad campaigns can be a little confusing.

So we have two videos that will walk you thru setting up your first Gmail ad campaigns.

First is the video from Google themselves…

Naturally, since it is from Google, it is not the clearest… But it does give an excellent overview of the campaign set up…

One Other Video Resource

On other video resource that may be a little more helpful in setting up your first Gmail ad campaign is below.

This is the one that helped us set up our first Gmail campaign… Since it walks you thru your set up step by step.

Give this one a quick look…

And you’ll see how easy it is to actually get your first campaign set up in Gmail.

Gmail Ads Work… Once You Test Them

Will Gmail ads work for every campaign? Not really sure…

Like everything, you need to be testing (and tracking your results) to see if they work for your vertical.

Bottom line…

Gmail ads are a traffic source that not a lot of people know about.

So competition is pretty low.

And they are dirt cheap to test to see if they can work for you.

Give them a try….
